Good Afternoon Northley Families,
 
It appears that the seasons decided to change today and just in time for the 8th grade Haunted Hayride. We are getting ready to head out and plan on returning around 8:15 PM. While many of our outdoor sports were postponed this week, our Volleyball team kept up their winning ways and the football team is working hard on the new turf field. I want to thank all the families, staff, and students who are attending and supporting our athletes.
 
Student-Led Conference Sign-ups :    
It's conference time! At Northley, we run student-led conferences where students take ownership over their learning and share their progress with you and a mentor teacher. Conferences are held in the afternoons on Monday, 11/19 and Tuesday, 11/20. For those parents/guardians who need evening conferences, we offer those times slots as well on Monday, 11/19. Time slots are 20 minutes in length, and we ask that you sign up for ONE time slot per child. Below are the links for each grade level and team. Please review your child's schedule to make sure you are signing up for the correct color team.


Pink Out! This coming Friday, Oct. 19, we will be having a "Pink Out" for Breast Cancer Awareness. The students are encouraged to wear Pink as a sign of support and to earn points for the class.

Picture Retakes: Besides the Pink Out on Friday, Barksdale will be back to take make up pictures. If your child is in need of make up photos, please see the additional information below.
 
PTL Volunteers and Class Chaperones: Each year, our PTL runs numerous activities for our students, but they need your help!! In the next couple of months, the PTL will be hosting our annual Haunted Hallway which is Northley's version of post prom. Additionally, they need help staffing this year's book fair Nov 12-16 and assistance with the winter formal. Additionally, the grade levels are planning their end of the year trips and will need chaperones. If you would like to help in either capacity, please click on the Volunteer Clearance link below to begin the process. Winter Sports Physicals

If you need a sports physical for winter sports, contact the Sun Valley Athletic Office at 610-497-6300, x-2352 to schedule an appointment.  Physicals will be held on Wednesday, November 7, starting at 3:00 at Sun Valley.  There is a $15 fee due the day of your physical.  If you played a fall sport, then you only need to turn in your Section 7 Re-certification forms.

  • 10/26 6th&7th Grade HAUNTED HALLWAY & DANCE -  Calling all Volunteers! Parents who would like to decorate a portion of the hallway please email Katelyn Riggins at [email protected] . We're also for looking for volunteers to help decorate the hallway, sell tickets at lunch, setup, cleanup and chaperones. 

 

PARENTS, donations of wrapped candy, baked goods and little bottles of water would be greatly appreciated. There will be a box in the main office to place the candy. Please bring any little bottles of water and baked goods the day of the event. 

 

  BARKSDALE  Re-Takes & Make-Ups
Photo Re-Takes & Make-Ups are scheduled for Friday, 10/19.  
PARENTS,if you would like to have your student's photo retaken OR if your student has yet to have their photo taken, instruct your student request a photo form from their homeroom teacher.  
All students are encouraged to have photos taken in order to receive a student ID and to ensure inclusion in the yearbook.
