RDGA GOLFERS - IF YOU HAVEN'T
ADDED A UNIQUE EMAIL
to YOUR GHIN ACCOUNT, PLEASE DO SO

A reminder to all RDGA Members with an active USGA GHIN Handicap: if the email address in your player profile is shared with at least one more golfers registered in the RDGA GHIN database,we ask that you please provide a unique email address that can be attributed to your player profile individually. There are several reasons for this request including security, communication and ability to connect you to your scoring record.

As we look to the future and the introduction of new tools such as a new mobile app and GHIN.com for score posting, in order for you to utilize these features you will be required to create an online profile. This will require the authentication of matching you to your individual profile by way of your email address.

An added benefit of having a unique email is the ability to customize communications to you. This will allow the RDGA to connect with you for your Handicap eRevision, member benefits and information of interest to you.

Email addresses are easy to create via Google (Gmail), Microsoft (Outlook) or Yahoo!. These are just a few places to go to create a free email address.

If you currently have a shared email address on your personal GHIN account - or if you are unsure - please contact the RDGA at 585-292-5950 to verify your account information.

THANK YOU!

FALL IS ON ITS WAY, BUT YOU CAN STILL
DONATE USED SPORTING EQUIPMENT
to SUPPORT FORESIGHT JUNIOR GOLF

Throughout the 2018 season, the RDGA Foundation, Inc., the RDGA, and Play It Again Sports have been accepting YOUR used golf equipment - clubs, bags, balls...even shoes - to support the RDGA Foundation Inc. and the ForeSight junior golf program. The RDGA - and more importantly, the junior golfers participating in the RDGA Foundation's ForeSight Junior Program - THANK YOU for your donations this year!

Now that the seasons are changing, so too are the needs of Play It Again Sports customers - now, rather than golf equipment, Play It Again needs your donations of gently used sporting equipment such as football, basketball and hockey equipment!
YOUR DONATIONS OF SPORTING EQUIPMENT IN THE NAME OF THE RDGA WILL STILL BENEFIT FORESIGHT JUNIOR GOLFERS!

So - please hang onto your used golf equipment until the 2019 season - and consider donating your used sporting equipment to Play It Again Sports in the name of the RDGA!

YOUR donations help us supply equipment to junior golfers who are just taking up the game! Call us at 585-292-5950 for more information!

WHY AERATION?

THIS USGA VIDEO EXPLAINS THE NEED
FOR PUNCHING HOLES IN YOUR
FAVORITE COURSE'S GREENS

The word aeration stimulates negative emotions for many golfers. It may come as a surprise, but golf course superintendents also dislike aeration. After all, the last person who wants to disrupt the smoothness of the putting greens they work so hard to maintain is the superintendent.

Here's the thing: aeration is essential to keep the grass healthy and, without it, playing conditions would suffer.

Click on the link above to watch a two-minute video from
the USGA that explains the aeration process and why it is necessary.
