October 7th-13th is Mental Health Awareness Week
FCA's large network of programs and services often touch the lives of Long Islanders in need of mental health support. As we further emphasize the importance of educating communities and providing mental health support, we must continue fighting the stigma around mental illness all year round. Keep Up The Momentum From
This Past Recovery Month
FCA and partnering organizations recognized National Recovery Month 2018 with a host of events including recovery celebrations at FCA's Family Treatment & Recovery Centers in Hicksville and Hempstead, support groups and meetings at THRIVE, a 6-day walk across Long Island by recovery advocates to raise funds and awareness for recovery services, and much more.

Furthermore, at a ceremony where Nassau County officials proclaimed September as Recovery Month in Nassau County, FCA President/CEO Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds spoke about the need to increase efforts to provide easy-to-access and effective recovery services in the County to build on the progress that has been made with prevention and treatment services.

As FCA continues to move forward with providing families in recovery with the support they need to get ahead, consider supporting our efforts by becoming a volunteer, by sharing how you or your company is able to collaborate with us or by making a tax-deductible contribution to further our mission.
