Fusion highlights its Private Online School for Grades 6-12 as a Fully Accredited Live, One-to-One Online Teaching platform that can help your student take classes for credit, test prep, tutoring, and more—all from the comfort of home. Students can finish the school year online and graduate on time with rolling open enrollment now and for summer.

The education team at Shrub Oak has announced it’s hard at work creating individually designed virtual classrooms for each of its students. Additionally, beginning April 1, Shrub Oak started offering a residential respite program for families in need of temporary assistance. Students will receive 1:1 support, and engage in activities such as art, yoga/meditation, hiking, and more. Weekly tuition includes room and board, activities, and supports. Shrub Oak states it will continue to take all appropriate measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health guidelines to screen students entering this program as well as their families.

BC recently announced that it is providing online services, including evaluations, and that its “expert team of SLPs [...] is always working and adapting to meet every student where they are, even if we have to stay 6 feet apart. We're bringing evaluations to students via our online platform while school buildings are closed. Janessa is reporting that she is offering her assistance FOR FREE to any parent who needs help navigating virtual instruction generally and/or teaching kids at home.

HLC is now offering virtual learning options during the COVID-19 closure period. As HLC states on its Website: “Why does Huntington Learning Center work? NFIL is offering full live chat special education coaching sessions in the areas of academic tutoring, organizing, time management, life skills, study skills, self-advocacy, planning, prioritization, inhibition, independence, stress management, and transitions.

Winston recently touted its shift from its physical campuses to a virtual learning space with help from its Winston Innovation Lab Faculty Learning Portal resource, which it launched in 2018. Over these past few weeks, Winston has said that it focused on sharing current research regarding distance learning best practices, remaining evidence-based in its programming and delivery methods, and demonstrating how to continue its skill-driven, individualized learning online by highlighting examples of how to shift what Winston does in the physical classroom to the online environment.
Vincent Smith announces it is “LEARNING ONLINE FOR ALL CLASSES AND SERVICES” and that its teachers and students have adjusted quickly to remote learning and have been following their regular curriculum, both educational and therapeutic.Vincent Smith boasts rolling admissions that are still active--with phone and online visits with its Head still being scheduled so you can find out more about its special education program for your child.
