Family Connection Spotlight:
Easter Joy for Homeless Families
Earlier this month, our Family Connection team was thrilled to bring springtime joy to 555 children and parents experiencing homelessness in the Dallas area.

Although our annual Easter Eggstravaganza family outing had to be canceled in March, we were still able to deliver Easter baskets and eggs to children and families residing in partnering shelters, transitional living sites and motels . This project was made possible thanks to countless in-kind donors who donated baskets and eggs earlier this spring. Additionally, an amazing small group of volunteers helped with the deliveries to the shelters and motels. Thank you to everyone involved!
Help Motel Families in Need
Since February, we have doubled the impact of our "Project Hope" Food Program, which provides food and household items to low-income families living in local motels . Currently, 138 children and family members are benefiting from twice-monthly deliveries of food and other essentials during this challenging time.

If you would be interested in helping us support these children and families in need, one way to get involved is by visiting our Amazon Wish List . When you purchase critical household supplies and toiletries from this list, they will be shipped directly to our office so that we can easily distribute them to the families during our upcoming deliveries.

PLEASE NOTE : Before clicking the link , ma ke sure you are signed into your Amazon account so you can properly view the list. Please also email Katy Cornwall a copy of your order confirmation so that we know which items to look out for and can thank you for your generosity.
Community Connection Spotlight:
Perot Museum Community Art Project
This fall, the Community Connection team was invited to be part of a special community art project through the Perot Museum . In honor of the " Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind " traveling exhibit, which arrived at the museum in October, children in our Community Connection group at Cedar Crest Elementary School were tasked with decorating a 3D-printed replica of one of the ancient skulls displayed in the exhibit.

The group's unique creation, which displays Rainbow Days' Major Messages and represents a brighter future for children in a colorful world, was part of the Perot Museum's exhibit from October 2019 to March 2020. In case you missed out on visiting this fascinating exhibit in person, you can still take a virtual tour online !
Support Group Facilitator Trainings
= Gone VIRTUAL!
In light of current events, our training team quickly adapted the Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Facilitator Training to a virtual format. Through two virtual trainings over the last two weeks, 45 youth-serving professionals from around Texas have been trained to implement Rainbow Days' support group curricula in their own communities.

We are thrilled to have this new service delivery method available and are looking forward to the next virtual training on June 4 . Registration for this training is open to the public; if you are interested in becoming a trained CBSG® facilitator yourself, visit the Rainbow Days Training website to register and reserve your spot.
