TCAA Family,

Although we can't perform together on-stage, we can still perform together virtually! We are excited to announce Artsathon Live! , a variety style-showcase streaming via Facebook Live on May 5th . We'll share YOUR pre-recorded videos and have live segments that feature our amazing students, faculty, parents, alumni, and more. Scroll down for more details and participant application.
WHEN:
As part of  North Texas Giving Tuesday Now  - May 5th, time TBD.

WHERE:
On Facebook Live! This lets us broadcast directly to phones and computers of family and friends, both near and far. It’ll be the best social-distancing event of the season!

WHO:
Current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and parents who want to showcase their talents. We want to see contributions from aspiring Bob Ross-style painters, Zoom choral performances by bold singers, dancers transcending confined studio spaces, and actors who know that all the world is a stage.

WHAT:
We’ll present signature performances from our visual arts, theater, dance, and music departments, and individual performances submitted by YOU! We’ll also have staff sharing exciting news, interviews, and more.

WHY:
During Artsathon Live! , there will be opportunities to make donations in support of TCAA. This event will serve as our Spring fundraiser enabling us to approach our next academic year with programming we are proud of. Additionally, this event gives us a way to support and applaud what students have been working on all year.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
The first step is to Fill out the Artsathon Live! Application by Friday, April 17th to submit your idea for approval.

From there, we will confirm your performance and send additional details/instructions for your video submissions. Final submissions will be due April 30th .

In need of some inspiration? You could submit a video performing your favorite song, send in a photo of your best art piece for a slideshow, read a monologue, record a duet, read a poem, show your senior Capstone project, put together a class song, direct a short film, or anything else of artistic excellence!

We hope this innovative way of connecting, cheering each other on, and contributing to the future of our programs makes us all feel closer and serves as a reminder of the many reasons we love and support our TCAA family.
