Parade of Thanks
On Wednesday, April 22nd, p ublic safety officials from more than 20 agencies across Indiana, including  the City of Lawrence, Lawrence Police Department, and Lawrence Fire Department, gathered  to honor another group of Hoosiers tasked with saving lives: healthcare workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you to Mayor Steve Collier, Lawrence Central Class of 1973, and the City of Lawrence team for making this possible.  

The MSD of Lawrence Township and the Lawrence Township School Foundation were proud to participate alongside many community members. Participants met at McKenzie Center  for Innovation and Technology with decorated cars and tons of signs to celebrate the Community North staff.

The LTSF Community Cares

#LTMomsCare Giving Circle
In response to the growing needs in the MSD Lawrence Township community, a group of caring moms approached Foundation staff to see how they could help. Their goal is to get  1 00 moms or more to donate $100 and raise at least  $10,000 to meet the family and student needs that our principals and educators are seeing in each school. 

Wow, has the community responded. Please join this group of compassionate women by making a minimum gift of $100. 
 
They hope this caring, giving circle can continue beyond this crisis, but for now, this group of moms is working to meet immediate needs. LT moms love our students and families. LT moms love our community.  #LTMomsCare

The LTSF Cares Fund
School is still in session; it just looks different!

LTSF Cares Fund
COVID-19 has changed the needs of the MSD of Lawrence Township school community. In response, the Lawrence Township School Foundation has shifted its focus from field trips and in-classroom experiences to school supplies packs for use at home, meal bags to help Lawrence Township families in need, and creating r esponse funds for Lawrence Township schools. Each school community has different needs. With your help, discretionary funds are being created for every MSDLT school so students will have what they need to succeed. 

Thanks to the many generous donors, over  $11,000 of the $21,000 goal has been raised . You can help reach the goal by making a gift to the LTSF Cares Fund. Every gift, no matter the size, will be helping LT kids and the Foundation thrive. #LTSFcares

The  Fore the Kids  Golf Outing scheduled for May 28, 2020, has currently been postponed. Everyone's health and well-being continues to be a priority, so we will monitor the situation to make the best decision for all regarding a future date. MSDLT Families

As school continues to look different, you all continue to play a part in the lives of Lawrence Township students. Thanks to generous donors, the Lawrence Township School Foundation has continued to prepare meal bags and school supplies packs. The Foundation has also created a resource page for easy access to homework help and other eLearning activities shared on social media. LTSF closely aligns with the MSD of Lawrence Township and we are thankful that you all continue to support their efforts by helping MSDLT families and friends.

Thank you to CORE Construction and the Lawrence Central PFO for your generous food donations. You all continue to make it possible for these meal bags to make it to the homes of MSDLT families. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to lend a hand, made a donation, or offered support. You truly play a part in ensuring the Lawrence Township community is #InThisTogether. 

We are so proud of the efforts from Jill Robinson Kramer, Lawrence North Class of 1994, and our Lawrence Township community in support of LT families! Jill found a need in the district so she jumped in to help. Her plan was to make as many masks as she could with the supplies she had on hand. In no time, with the help of a dozen people that included family, nieces, and her children, she made close to 300 masks. About 100 masks went to the COVID-19 homeless  shelter; some others went to a pediatric practice, and others to a nurse in the neighborhood.
