Ripped from the Headlines -- What Can a Presbyterian Do????
Have you ever wondered what Jesus would say about current events in our country and world? What do other Presbyterian Christians think? Would you welcome an opportunity to discuss topics in a supportive environment where all views can be heard and respected? We tend to avoid difficult subjects, but maybe we should talk more, not less!

Adults (including YOUTH) are encouraged to attend and/or lead summer gatherings called Ripped From the Headlines for discussion of current events through a Presbyterian lens. There will be a different topic each week, chosen by that week’s leader. Topics and locations change each week — check back here each week for details. You do not need to have attended previous gatherings to come. Gatherings are on Sunday afternoons, 3-5.

Next week on June 10, the topic will be the 2nd Amendment. Host family: Anne and Rick Bailey, 192 Stone Creek Drive from 3-5 p.m.

Summer Break is here! We are happy to announce that we have - 30 children enrolled for the 2018-2019 school year, with a small waiting list! Classes will begin September 4, 2018. During summer break, the CCNS staff will be working hard preparing lesson plans, completing trainings and continuing their education. We are eager to see what is in store for the upcoming school year! We hope everyone at Oxford Presbyterian Church has a wonderful summer. See you in September!
Pilgrim Ashley Boyle
Without the donations from the church, I would not be able to undertake this journey. While money can’t buy love, I have certainly felt love from the congregation at OPC. The donations allow me to breathe easy, because I know that I have enough for food and shelter each day. I am thankful for all of the various types of support from the church, and I cannot wait to share my experiences with everyone upon returning.

Thanks again for all of your support and words of wisdom.

Ashley
Summertime, Baseball and the Body of Christ
Holy Trinity has graciously invited OPC to join them at the Great American Ball Park on Sunday, July 22 at 1:10 p.m. to see the Cincinnati Reds beat the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Last year both congregations took in a game at GABP separately and this year we enthusiastically accepted Holy Trinity's invitation to enjoy a game together.

Invite your friends and relatives to join us so we can have a huge presence at the stadium for the Reds vs Pirates game! Tickets for seats in section 417 will be $16 - a big savings over last year.

Checks for tickets should be made out to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and given to Gayle Shidler in the parish office at 25 E. Walnut Street (open 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday). Reserve your tickets as soon as possible and no later than Monday, June 11.
Your Stewardship Matters
We give and share with love so that gratitude can unlock the fullness of life.
We trust in the paradox of the law of abundance -
by sharing and giving our lives are made richer.
There are two keys to the treasure chest of generosity.
With one key we impart freely of both material resources and spiritual plenty.
With the other we gratefully accept all that comes back.
