Message From The Mundelein Police Department

Now that schools are letting out for the summer, a reminder about the village’s curfew ordinance should not be forgotten. Curfew hours for children under 17 years old are Sunday - Thursday from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday and Sunday from Midnight to 6:00 AM. In addition, drivers under 18 may not operate a motor vehicle between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Crisis Care and Mental Health in Lake County

Lake County is committed to help its residents maintain their health and well-being, and there are a variety of treatment, training and support services available to those experiencing problems related to emotional and mental illness, or drug and alcohol addiction.
Lake County also offers a 24/7 Crisis Care Hotline and an anonymous brief intervention service called “Text-A-Tip” for middle and high school students. For more information about these programs,

The State Treasurer is holding 2.9 billion dollars in unclaimed funds for Illinoisans. The State holds these lost funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs. Property is returned at no cost with the proper identification.

Metra: Kids Ride For Free All Summer Long

Metra announced that up to three children age 11 and under will be able to ride free with an adult beginning this Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day as part of its expanded Family Fares program.

- Do you have concerns about falling? Would you like to learn more about how to reduce the fear of falling? You are eligible if you are 60 or older, ambulatory, or concerned about falling. Shredding Event, Saturday, July 21
9-11am or until the truck is full.
This is a free event sponsored by State Representative Nick Sauer and State Senator Dan McConchie.Remove all binder clips, booklet binders, or paper clips. Staples are acceptable. Up to 2 large banker box size worth of shredding per vehicle (not individual in vehicle). All those participating in the event are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to the Fremont Township Food Pantry.

Audibel Hearing Aid Center in Libertyville, a leader in “Better Hearing Health” is pleased to offer a Free Hearing Screening and Otoscope Exam Event on Tuesday, July 24 from 10:00 am til 2 pm at lower level of the Fremont Township Administrative Building.
