Worship Lead:
Rev. Mara Dowdall, Senior Minister

"Our Power to Bless"
As we begin June, with the spiritual theme of "blessing," Rev. Mara will help us explore what it actually means "to bless," and how we each can access the power of blessing one another. Our service will also include a child dedication and celebration of the successful conclusion of our ministerial internship. All of that, and we still promise to end on time so the Annual Meeting can begin promptly following worship!

Fund the Vision! Meet the Budget! |
|
The Annual Meeting is fast approaching, but there is still time to discuss this year's proposed budget. Details can be found on the Society website at
uusociety.org/2018-fuusb-annual-meeting/.
Board President Tracy Titchner, Treasurer Alana Shaw, Rev. Mara and members of the finance team will be holding a meeting today,
Thursday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m.
at the Meeting House to answer any of your questions about the budget deficit and the vision for next year and beyond. It's also not too late to make a one-time donation to decrease the size of next year's projected deficit. You can give online at the UU Society website, or by sending a check with "Fund the Vision" in the memo line. Please join us!

Annual Meeting This Sunday |
|
The FUUSB Annual Meeting will take place after the service this Sunday, June 3, beginning at 11:15 a.m.
It is essential that members attend annual meeting in order for us to have a quorum and be able to pass important agenda items. We will also be saying goodbye to several staff members who will be leaving us at the end of this fiscal year. Childcare will be provided. Please plan to attend!

Worship Associates Seeking Feedback |
|
Maeve McBride
As we prepare for a new year and a new path with our interim minister, Rev. Susan, we would like to solicit your feedback to support our growth as worship associates. We (Judy Brook, Kristin Kany, Melinda Lee, Rodney Lowe, Maeve McBride, and Kenneth Russell) gather each year in August with the senior minister for an annual retreat. Often, this is a time to more deeply build our relationships with each other and understand the vision and themes for the upcoming year of worship. This year, we are hoping to do some group-supported self-reflection on our pulpit presence. We'd love to hear from you! Do you have any comments or suggestions for the worship associates, either as a whole or for any one of us? Do you have any specific appreciations or changes you'd like to see, with respect to anyone's style of leading worship? Can you hear us and see us when we are in the pulpit? Please send your feedback directly to me:
[email protected]
with WORSHIP in the subject line, or find me on a Sunday morning to chat. Thank you!
