Familial Hypercholesterolemia

FH Awareness Day   |   September 24, 2017

Winning the race against  heart disease
one family at a time
Dear  ,

Thank you so much your generous support of our first ever  Race for FH . Because caring people like you stepped up in record numbers, we surpassed our goal of raising $50,000 by  FH Awareness Day ! You also helped us to earn an additional $25,000 challenge grant from a generous FH family for a total of more than $86,000!

Now, because of you, we will provide more training to our FH Advocates for Awareness so they can share information that encourages early diagnosis and effective treatment.

We will reach out to more doctors to help them identify the 90% that are still undiagnosed.

We will conduct even more research, including the CASCADE FH™ registry and patient portal , which will provide knowledge and hope for both individuals and families with FH on a global scale.

These are ambitious undertakings indeed. Yet, at the heart of these initiatives are the people whose lives have been transformed by the work of the FH Foundation.

Just this week a family attended the  2017 FH Global Summit™ in Miami . They came looking for information and help for their young son who is living with homozygous FH (HoFH) - the rare and most severe form of FH. At the Summit they learned about new medications, met other families like theirs, and spoke with the world's experts in pediatric HoFH. " Before we came, we felt alone. Now, for the first time we have met others with HoFH who have grown up, got married, had children of their own. For the first time we have hope for the future."

This is your giving at work.

We don't have words to express the depth of our gratitude. Please accept our humble "thank you."

With warm regards,
The Entire FH Foundation Family
