Dear Benchmarks' members,

Cardinal shared with us an opportunity to share with members regarding the availability of community grant funds to help their catchment area that is impacted by the coronavirus.

Take care of each other and stay safe and healthy!

The Benchmarks' Team

During this time of great uncertainty, all of us at Cardinal Innovations have quickly realized the significant impact COVID-19 is having on our members, providers, and our communities. With that recognition, we have created the COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide community grants to organizations across our 20-county geography impacted by the coronavirus.

Grants offered through our COVID-19 Relief Fund will place particular emphasis on initiatives that will make an immediate impact on the availability of social services and increase the community's overall ability to serve those who are disproportionately affected by the pandemic.  Our initial total fund amount is $1,000,000 and we will be accepting grant requests up to $20,000.

The fund has been created with dollars already approved by our Board of Directors for community reinvestment and will be part of a large-scale effort encompassing the stability of our network of providers, continued access to care for our members, and local community initiatives.

Proposals will be considered from applicable organizations within Cardinal Innovations' service area, which consists of the following 20 counties:  Alamance, Cabarrus, Caswell, Chatham, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Mecklenburg, Orange, Person, Rockingham, Rowan, Stanly, Stokes, Union, Vance and Warren.

I am asking for your help today to spread the word about this community grant opportunity to your constituents. Whether it's passing this email along to folks you think might be interested, posting it on social media, or including in your newsletter - our goal is to ensure we're reaching folks who need our help
