Summer Centering: Faces of Our Faith

Sundays, June 3 - August 26
10:00-10:45 a.m.
Wood Fellowship Hall

Who are the people who have shaped your faith?

Join us this summer as we explore stories of lesser known characters of the Bible as well as our own faith stories.  We'll learn together through Bible study, reflections from FPC members and pastors, activities, and prayer.

June 3 //  Adam & Eve
More tha n a story of sin and temptation, the story of Adam and Eve has something to say about isolation and relationship.  We'll explore the importance of community for people of faith.

June 10 // Puah and Shiphrah
Meet these disobedient midwives and learn how God worked through their dissent.

Ju ne 17 // Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego
These three men defied the king's orders and went against the practices of the day.  How does our faith call us to go again st the norms and standards of our world?

June 24 // Jonah
Jonah's story is about more than a giant fish.  What can this grumpy prophet teach us about God's grace and persistence?

Summer Worship
During the summer months, we have one worship service at 11 a.m. The 9 a.m. service will resume in September.

On June 10, we'll begin a new sermon series "Spiritual Geography."  Different kinds of events tend to happen in different types of geography throughout Scripture.  How can noticing our geography help us understand our spiritual lives?
After worship, enjoy lemonade on the lawn while you visit with church friends.
