MAKE PLANS NOW FOR CARING FOR SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME WHO MAY GET SICK.

Where will that sick person self quarantine and how will they enter/ leave the home without contaminating the rest of the house.
Who will bring the sick person food and supplies. How will one decontaminate before returning to the rest of the home.
Make reciprocal plans with different scenarios should each family member fall ill. Parents should both know what they need to care for the children.
Have a conversation with anyone who is in the home and/or helping with family care. Answer all questions that may come up and write answers down.
Go over any extra requirements that each care giver needs to be prepared for 2 -3 weeks (each parent will likely need to take 2 weeks sick leave from work).
Use a Hepa filter if you have one.

Coming in for flu shots and infant vaccines:

Your family has been at home for 14 days and have had not been in contact with anyone outside the home.
Both parents are not coming and going, besides going to buy groceries.
No one in the last 14 days has had low grade fever, sneezing, loose bowel, headaches, body aches, cough..

Letter on "Encouraged Masking Policy" at Hoag

There have been numerous accounts of staff not wearing masks. Many say they are being discouraged to wear masks. I got involved this past week as hospital doctors told me they fear losing their contracts if they speak up. Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie Norris spoke with Hoag Monday April 6th after meeting with Dr. Abelowitz and Dr. Kroll, one anonymous doctor and myself. Her office was not happy to learn about the very minor changes made to their policy. I would be very appreciative if anyone has a way to reach Hoag donors or board members. Doctors insist on Mandatory/Universal Masking for the safety of all. CHOC, St. Joseph, Memorial Care and Saddleback are all practicing Universal Masking.
