Saint Michael's Minutes
Teaching Children their value as Children of God
Principal's Notes
Dear Parents and Families,

I wanted to begin this issue of the Saint Michael's Minutes by extending our gratitude and respect for all those who died in service to our country. Saint Michaels has always had many families enrolled who are current and active military, and it is near and dear to who we are as a school to honor, respect, and pray for the sacrifices made to protect our country.

Congratulations to our 8th graders for receiving the sacrament of Confirmation this passed week. Fr. Drummond celebrated the Mass and Bishop Loverde administered the sacrament to our confirmandi. Mrs. Howard is extremely proud of all the hard work and dedication our students put forth this year.

Next Friday is Field Day! If anyone is interested and able to volunteer (including former students who'd like to come back to help) please email Mr. Muha at tim.muha@stmikes22003.org.

Mrs. Burke is sending home the sign-up form for our Annual Talent Show this week. Please read through and sign and return the form if your child will be participating. The talent show will be Tuesday, June 12 at 7:00 PM in the school cafeteria.

This Sunday our second graders will be receiving the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Please join me in praying for our students in their final preparation this week. Mrs. Tette has done a wonderful job teaching everyone and ensuring they are prepared.

God bless,

St. Michaels Summer Camp
This summer we will be offering a summer camp for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade right here at St. Michaels. The camp will be managed by Silvia Munoz and staffed by some school staff, as well as some new staff members who all will go through the same employee background checks and policies the Diocese of Arlington requires. For more information please see the flyer below.
Our PreK 3 students visited by the office to give Mr. Cinalli a gift and an invitation to their graduation this Thursday, May 31 at 10:30 AM. Our PreK 4 graduation will be Friday, June 4th at 2:00 PM. Both will be held in the All Purpose Room.
Mr. Gallerano introduces his bi-weekly Capstone discussion lesson on cooperation to the 6th grade students. These discussions give students the opportunity to collaborate and communicate their ideas and thoughts in a respectful and courteous manner.
"I thank God that I served as a sergeant and army chaplain in the First World War. How much I learned about the human heart during this time, how much experience I gained, what grace I received." - Pope John XXIII
