We're hopeful the forecasters are wrong and the sun will shine bright Sunday morning, but if not, we have a plan. If it rains, we'll take our casual, start-of-summer worship inside along with the Blessing of the Bikes and the annual Potluck Picnic.
The 8 a.m. Holy Eucharist gathers, as usual, in the Nave. Mass on the Grass is at 10 a.m. - hopefully in The Park. Following worship, we will enjoy our Annual Potluck Picnic. The church provides Clyde's famous fried chicken and beverages . Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Bring friends, too!

Warm weather draws us back outside to explore God’s beautiful creation. Let’s bless these adventures! Bring your bicycles and right after worship, Rev. Elizabeth will lead a very brief (5 minute) service of prayers and blessing for all your two or three-wheeled journeys this summer.

Announcements & Opportunities
National Gun Violence Awareness Day St. Luke’s is spearheading an interfaith vigil on Friday, June 1 from noon until 2 p.m. in Liberty Plaza to remember Georgians who died in 2017 as a result of gun violence. We will name each person. Please plan to join St. Luke’s clergy and invite others to join us as we all continue to work to discern a way forward in reducing the number of senseless deaths from guns. If you have questions, please contact The Rev. Elizabeth Shows Caffey ( elizabeth@stlukesatlanta.org).
Loaves and Fishes meets this Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at the home of Rae Lynn and Larry Mattis (296 Ecarte Ct. SW, Lilburn | 770-923-9156). Bring a dish to share and your beverage of choice. Tea and soft drinks will be provided. Loaves and Fishes is a social gathering for St. Luke’s adults to be in community the last Sunday evening of each month. For more information or to be added to our email list, contact Susan or Stan Reid ( susanstanreid@yahoo.com | 770-396-4041). We hope you can join us for all or any part of the evening.

This is our last Sunday collecting Kroger gift cards, paper plates, disposable cups (6 or 8 oz.), spoons and forks for the Greater Fortress Summer Camp. Greater Fortress is a church of about 35 active members that serves between 50-75 neighborhood children and youth each summer. Please place your donations in the Outreach baskets located in the Narthex and the Reception Area.

In June and July, we will Fill the Outreach Baskets for Midtown Assistance Center.
Kickball Anyone? Join the co-ed team for summer fun. No skill needed, just $20 and the desire to have fun and meet new people (though you must be at least 21 years old). Let us know you’d be interested in playing: Mignon Crawford ( mignoncrawford@gmail.com) or Keith  Roberts ( keithroberts180@yahoo.com).

EYC Field Day The first EYC event of the summer will be Sunday, June 3 at 5 p.m. All EYC-aged youth are invited to join Kristin Lennon and Kevin Athans at Iverson Park for kickball and other games. We’ll walk to Fellini’s on McLendon for dinner and be done by 7 p.m.. Contact Kristin for more information ( kristin@stlukesatlanta.org).

I HAVE A DREAM
As our ministry approaches the finish line, we will celebrate its completion in grand fashion in the month of June. Please take a moment to join us and appreciate what our Dreamers have accomplished.
  • Join us for our annual Awards Luncheon on June 9, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. This event is where we honor all the Dreamers and salute the recent graduates. If you would like to join us, simply RSVP to Vicky Jackson, program director, at pdadw.ihad@gmail.com.
  • We also want to tell our volunteers and donors how much we appreciate their support. If you have been a mentor, coach, tutor, driver, financial supporter or feel connected to IHAD in any way, ministry leaders would love to say “thank you” and honor those who have been so faithful all these years. Join us for a Thank You Celebration on June 23, from 5-7 p.m. in the Hamilton Room/Garden. Please call the reservation line by Monday, June 18 at 404-873-7777 and join in the celebration!
  • And, finally, look for a short “history” of IHAD in the upcoming June 1 Shepherd’s Voice.

Registration Deadline is Sunday
