House OKs cost-of-living increase for public pensioners
With a 99-0 vote for legislation that would give up to a 4 percent cost of living increase, retired school teachers could see their first pension increase in 12 years. FOX 25
Educators interested in regalia bill, classroom safety
The Lawton Public Oklahoma Educators hosted a legislative forum for area educators and community members. Questions ranged from a bill that would allow Native American students to wear tribal regalia at graduation ceremonies to safety measures for teachers to four day school weeks. Oklahoma rep. to create loan repayment program for public school teachers
House Bill 3382 would provide educational loan repayment awards to help bring financial relief to public school teachers, while helping school districts that are struggling to keep qualified teachers. KFDX
