This e-Communiqué is the first in a limited series of digital newsletters, each focusing on a different aspect of Triennial Meeting, which will take place July 5th-11th in Austin, Texas. All are welcome.
Today's topic is special events: the ECW Welcome Dinner and the Distinguished Woman Luncheon. You may both register and pay online; this is the preferred method. An option using a paper form and check is also available. The traditional "packets" that have in the past been sent via the postal service to delegates will follow.
Measure Twice, Cut Once
"Measure twice, cut once" is a great rule for those involved in carpentry or sewing. After all, if the wood or fabric is cut improperly a project can be ruined. Better to double-check than make a mistake.
The adage also holds true for event planning: Think through the details before sharing them and then having to retract information. The National Board of Episcopal Church Women has, through the many twists and turns of General Convention and Triennial Meeting planning, kept to the goal of cutting once.
