New "LIST" of Positive Residents and Staff Posted on DOH Website-- And List Now Generated from AHCA's Emergency Status System
This afternoon, after the Governor's latest press conference, the Department of Health (DOH) posted a newly formatted list, generated from AHCA's ESS. This list contains 397 nursing homes and assisted living communities and includes the number of positive residents, staff and those who have been transferred out of the building.
We would like to thank the Governor and his staff for listening to our concerns and changing the way the data is presented to the media for positive COVID-19 residents and staff. Previously, the list was generated from DOH's Merlin system which serves as the state's repository of reportable disease case reports, including notification about individual cases of high-priority diseases. Now, the list is being generated from AHCA's ESS and only includes those with positive COVID-19 residents and staff.
Last week, FSLA worked with the Governor's office, DOH and AHCA to remove communities who were erroneously placed on the list. There may still be problems if the information that you entered into ESS is not correct.
Please take a look at the
new list,
compare it to your ESS information and
contact us
if you notice any problems.
Following the list, there are two graphs that display the numbers of positive COVID-19 residents (.08%) and staff (.06%).
This is a great example of how well senior living communities are responding to the pandemic!
Currently, t
hese graphs are not separated out by type of community.
Please continue to update your information in the ESS every day by 10:00 a.m.
