CISGG RESPONSE TO COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)
“When the going gets weird, the weird get going.”
That’s our motto these days. We want to thank you from deep in our hearts for your donations of food and funds to help us sustain our COVID-19 food drive. To date, we have collected over $1,500 in food and donations. On Wednesday, we delivered to 19 families. We are just getting started. We wish to thank Ms. Cheryl Ryder and her colleagues at Cone Health for kicking us off with a $350.00 donation of food. In addition, our remarkable Board and Advisory Council have joined forces to lead the charge from the volunteer leadership. The “Grab and Go” stations established by Guilford County Schools and satellite stations sponsored by BackPack Beginnings and other community partners promise to ensure that no child/family goes hungry.
Here is a recently updated list of needed food items:
  • Microwavable rice (5pk $8.99)

We will cherish whatever your heart and circumstance allow you to give.
If you buy food items, please contact Rinda Estes at 336-691-1268 or at  spirit907@gmail.com  to arrange pickup or delivery. It thrills us that our great community partner BackPack Beginnings has agreed to help us with this aspect of the activity. So, just reach out to Rinda and she will coordinate everything on our behalf.
If you wish to give funds, please go to our website at https://www.cisgg.org/donate.html and note on your donation “COVID-19 Fund”. That way, we can track the funds specifically designated for this purpose. You will receive a donation acknowledgment.
We are extremely honored to help our kids, families, schools and communities at this time. Though we might not do all that we would like to do, we will certainly do what we can. Please note, we are setting up “chat rooms” to check on our kids’ well-being and to conduct an inventory of school supplies and other needs. So, stay tuned.
Peace,
