We hope to see you in worship this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.! But first, a reminder....
Last Chance! Summer Preaching Survey!

Thank you to the many folk who have already completed the survey!!! Don't miss your chance to weigh in!!!

Through July and August, the great stories of our faith will help anchor the sermons in worship. Are there stories you find to be particularly fun, interesting, provocative, or that have been important to your faith journey? You can indicate up to three stories that you would like to hear preached on this Summer - and if there are stories that come to your mind that aren't listed, you can enter them in the blank on the survey.

And before we get to a word about what to expect this Sunday...
Congratulations Rachel!

Congratulations on a fabulous and beautiful senior recital!

Now... on to Sunday!
Sunday Morning Men's Group

The guys are getting together this Sunday morning in the library at 8:30 a.m., and there is always plenty of good conversation and good coffee to go around! Here is a word from Bill Powell about this week's conversation:

"It’s been suggested that we do a session on parenthood.

The age of mass shootings, particularly in schools has changed the dynamic of what it means to be a parent. Additionally, lots of cultural changes have taken place since most of us were children and even since most of us were raising children.

In light of these changes, what parental expectations did your parents give you that you find most useful and what worked best for you as you raised your own children?

How would you change your parenting given the present circumstances? Who are/were your role models in successful parenting? What do you wish you had done differently?

See you in the Library at 8:30 Sunday May 27th."

Then in worship, we will kick off our new series " Season of Transition: What? Who? Why? When? Where?"

We are in a season of great and important transitions in our church. Our 5-week worship series on Transition begins May 27, and these will be Rev. Pamela’s last five weeks with us here at FUMC.

Transition is universal. It is biblical. It touches everyone of us. During these five weeks we’ll be looking at familiar biblical stories and what they have to tell us about the importance and lessons of transition in our departures, arrivals, external and internal change, opportunity, and God’s presence. We have exciting celebratory and musical happenings during these weeks that are not to miss!

This Sunday, Rev. Adam is preaching from the Gospel of Matthew, and the story of Jesus emerging from his time in the wilderness, proclaiming that the Kingdom of Heaven has drawn near! You can check out the story here .
A Word About Godly Play!

This week in Godly Play, we will read  The Little Soul and the Sun,  a story that explores our world, where there is not absolute good or bad--that underneath all that happens in the world, all that we call "good" and all that we call "bad," is love.

God is love, as are all the Little Souls who are a part of God.
We will sip on some sun tea as we reflect on what it means to be apart of such Great Love.

Restore at the Raptor Center!
On Sunday, May 27th, at 5:00 p.m. our Restore community will meet at the Raptor Center located at 32275 Fox Hollow Road. All are welcome!
Oh, don't forget!
The new church directory has arrived!
The wait is finally over! Our new church directory has arrived. This Sunday (May 27th) they will be available to those who had their picture made last year for the directory. After those are given out we have a few more that will be available on a first come first served basis. Once we are out of those, you may request an active member list from the office. We can send those by e-mail or make a hard copy upon request.
