We hope this finds you safe and well. As spring arrives slowly in Lakeville, we have you in our thoughts and continue to feel your absence.
We are reaching out today with important updates regarding 2020 Graduation programming. As I wrote in my letter on April 13, we
are unable to host Graduation on campus at the end of May for the great Class of 2020. We are all deeply saddened by this, and we have been working hard to find the best
solutions for alternative programming that will uphold important Hotchkiss Senior traditions. In collaboration with the members of the Senior Class Council, we have worked to develop the following schedule of events that we hope will provide the celebratory recognition that you deserve.
We look forward to the Diploma Day program which will take place on May 29 in lieu of the Commencement Ceremony. This event will combine time-honored elements and will also include some new aspects, including providing each student with the opportunity to contribute. This may represent the start of a new Hotchkiss Graduation tradition!

We want to reiterate that we remain committed to bringing the Class of 2020 back to campus when practicable for an in-person, on-campus celebration. Although the timing remains unknown, we have worked with leaders of the senior class to determine a list of events that will take place during this time. We are excited about it.
As you well know, the Class of 2020 is a great class, a class with which each of us feels a deep affinity. We know how challenging the experience of the pandemic has been, and we hope you and your family are staying safe and well.
We look forward to our virtual celebrations in May and also to welcoming the Class of 2020 back to Lakeville as soon as we can.
