Dear Scouting Families,

The Governor of Virginia has ordered that all non-essential businesses close until at least April 23, 2020.  Following this Executive Order, we are closing Your CVC Scout Store and Service Center during the designated period.  Your CVC Staff will be working remotely and will continue to be available to provide support and services during this time.

CONTINUED SERVICES FAQs:

EAGLE PAPERWORK:  
-Eagle Proposals should be scanned and emailed to your District Eagle Proposal Review Person
-Eagle Project Fundraising Applications should be sent to your District Professional
-Eagle Applications ready for review prior to Board of Review should be scanned and emailed with all supporting documentation (Completed Eagle Workbook not required) to Sam Jennings

SCOUT SHOP:
-Scout Shop supplies are available, please contact Sam Jennings for your unit needs.  
-Special Order procedures are to be determined.


EVENT INFORMATION:
-Questions about events should be directed towards the event Staff Advisor/District Professional

-Council Banquet:  The Banquet has been postponed.  Refund checks will be sent out
-Day Camps:  Current plan is to continue planning and preparing to have them in mid-June
-District Events:  Your District Professional and Volunteer Event Chair will provide updates to upcoming events based on when they are scheduled and current government recommendations
-District Meetings:  Your District Key 3 will provide updates on upcoming District Meetings to include Roundtables, District Committee Meetings, and Commissioner's Meetings

SPRING PEANUT SALE:
-Units/Families will have the option to use the Whitley's Online Fundraising System as well as the PDF Order Form which can be shared with friends and families.

VIRTUAL PROGRAMS:
-We have volunteers and professionals working on virtual/distance-Scouting programs, more information will be coming out soon.  Watch our newsletter, Facebook page, and your District Contact List for more information.

MARKETING & PROMOTION:
-Your CVC Staff is working on support programs to provide units means to continue promoting their unit programs and encouraging families to become engaged in the Scouting Program.  If a unit receives a youth or adult application reach out to your District Professional to submit.
