April 6 - April 12, 2020

Tapping our Playfulness in Anxious Times

Feeling stress over all the things we have not?  Mother Deb is offering a session on Facebook each Tuesday and Saturday to share how exploring the wisdom of our bodies can give us MORE, not less:

--more energy
--more grace
--more joy
--more fun
--more peace

Using the principles of InterPlay/Body Wisdom, Mother Deb will help everyone (of every physical ability) to trust our body's wisdom, becoming more spontaneous and expanding our awareness and confidence. Postings will explore embodied spirituality, Sabbath-keeping, Table Graces, the use of Holy Water, Counting Prayers, Welcoming God, Walking Prayerfully.
Morning Prayer This Tuesday
Please join us for Morning Prayer on Tuesday, April 7 on our Facebook page. This is a recorded service and is not live so you may watch it at your convenience.
Maundy Thursday Offering for April 9

On the eve of his suffering and death, Jesus chose to be with his closest friends and to enjoy a familiar meal.  We are not able to come together this year for the beautiful observance of Maundy Thursday organized by Deb Seles, the Daughters of the King and the Altar Guild in recent years.  But we  can take ourselves back to that night and strive to learn what Jesus hoped his disciples would learn in those precious moments together.

We encourage everyone to plan a meal of simple food that has significance for your family for this coming Thursday evening.  Plan to eat at 6 p.m. where you can access a YouTube posting we will supply.  It will take you back to that holy dinner with Jesus and his disciples. You will hear the words Jesus spoke and Mother Deb will reflect upon their significance for us now.

Preparing for the Great Vigil of Easter
The Great Vigil of Easter is the grandest and most compelling service of the church year. It begins at dark this Saturday and you will receive all you need to participate from home that evening or on Easter, if you prefer.

The news of God's power to make all things new will touch us most deeply if we consider what we wish to leave behind this year. Find an image that captures this thought for you, and send it to [email protected]. We will use a collage formed of these images in the service.
Neighbors-4-Neighbors Update
Neighbors 4 Neighbors has heightened importance in these times. Our clients are among those hardest hit; service sector jobs are declining as events and trips are canceled.  So, with safe practices in place, we must stay open if at all possible. Demand is skyrocketing, from an average of 400 families to serving over 680 last week! We are so thankful for the extraordinary volunteers who have lent a hand.

Can you make a special contribution to help with this vital Outreach?
Please use the easyTithe link on the homepage of
and note your purpose.

Volunteers are now contributing homemade face masks as well. You may leave any you have to spare outside the church office. Stay well, take good care of each other, and keep Neighbors-4-Neighbors, our community and our world in your prayers.
