May is Mental Health Awareness Month
mental health:
( noun )

A state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.
The Covid-19 pandemic has received widespread coverage over the past several months, with communities and leaders acting quickly and deliberately to come up with treatment and prevention strategies. However, mental health disorders have always been widespread worldwide and rarely receive similar coverage, in part due to the stigma associated with mental health. Now, more than ever, it's important to focus on supporting the mental health of everyone, from frontline workers dealing with the stress and trauma of treating Covid-19 patients, to individuals and families dealing with depression and anxiety during quarantine. The first step is spreading mental health education and awareness to reduce the stigma and help individuals realize that they are not alone.
