2nd Annual "HaHa's For Habitat" (June 15)
Habitat for Humanity Greater Waterbury presents the 2nd Annual Haha's for Habitat on Friday, June 15. This comedy fundraiser will include a family-friendly show and a buffet dinner at $40 per person. Enjoy comedy by Ruan Gartley, Jay Rodriguez and magician Jim Sisti. Doors open at 6:30 PM with the showtime of 7:30 PM. Cash bar, beer and wine. Breast Health Non-Profit Are You Dense Inc. Celebrates its 10th Year (June 16)
The 10th Anniversary of the Are You Dense MusicFest is June 16, 2018 at the Palace Theater, Waterbury CT. Headlining the show is The Doo Wop Project, Hottest Broadway Stars from Jersey Boys and Motown. Returning to the stage is Jacob Tolliver as "Jerry Lee Lewis" who brought the house down with his phenomenal act. The evening begins at 6PM with a raffle/silent auction & hits by the Sounds of Leo. Founded by Woodbury resident, Nancy Cappello, Ph.D., after her startling advanced-stage diagnosis, despite never missing her mammogram, Are You Dense Inc. is making a global impact on breast screening protocols for women with dense breast tissue. Make Music Waterbury (June 21)
The first annual Make Music Waterbury is happening on Thursday, June 21st, from  9 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the Waterbury Downtown area.  Whether you are a musician ( at any level), a singer, a maker of music, of any kind; if you have a business or own a property in the downtown area and would like to feature outdoor music; or if you enjoy music want to see fun things happen in Waterbury, you can be a part of this special day. Sponsored by the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, the Waterbury Public Art Committee and Connecticut Community Foundation, the event is FREE to participate and, of course, free to enjoy!  Musicians and venues (locations) create a profile via an online registration portal. From there, musicians can request to perform at locations and locations can request musicians - it's like "matchmaking."  The performance is added to the day's schedule, which will be accessible to the public through a free mobile app, and will be promoted as part of Make Music Waterbury.

Renegade (S)heroes: Faithful 'Rulebreakers' 'Changemakers' Divine Feminine Class (June 23)
Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center in Litchfield will present"Renegade (S)heroes: Faithful 'Rulebreakers' 'Changemakers'" by Rev. Dr. Shelley D. Best on Saturday, June 23, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Dr. Best will guide participants through stories of unorthodox New Testament women whose lives were transformed through rule-breaking encounters with Jesus Christ including the Syrophoenician woman, Woman at the well, and Mary Mother of Jesus. The program will include songs, conversations, meditations, and transformational movement. Registration includes lunch and fee by June 14 is $60/person, and $75/person after June 14. Brass City Jazz Fest set for June 23
The FREE Brass City Jazz Fest will take place at Library Park, 267 Grand Street, Waterbury on Saturday, June 23rd. The park plans open to guests at 2:00 PM with kick-off shortly after.
