s year's theme for the Threshermens Parade is "Honoring our Farmers.' The parade will take place on Sunday, September 2.

The City of Pontiac and Lipton invite the community to attend the grand opening of Lipton's 2018 summertime promotion, "
ROUTE 66 ROAD TRIP GEMS FOR YOUR SUMMER BUCKET LIST". T
he event kicks off on Friday, June 8th at 10:30 am and all activities associated with the event will be located behind the Illinois Route 66 Museum.
Along with free sample food and iced tea, Friday's event will include the dedication of the Pontiac's newest mural. Commissioned by Lipton and designed and painted by Diaz Sign Art of Pontiac, the new mural features a summertime picnic, and of course, Lipton Iced Tea.
The welcoming and dedication will begin at 10:45 am of Friday. Please join us in celebrating this amazing event!
