2018 IIDA/Mannington Commercial LeMans Race

Date: June 27, 2018 6 - 8 pm 
Location: FASTIMES INDOOR KARTING TRACK - 3455 Harper Rd (Next door toWoodland Bowl on 96th St)  Indianapolis, IN
Price: Members are free/Nonmembers pay $25. 

FASTIMES is an indoor bi-level 900 foot track that can accommodate speeds up to 45 miles per hour.  Spectators will sit it in the viewing lobby with floor to ceiling windows cheering on their favorite drivers.  We will have 6 teams, each with 3 drivers. Helmets and driving suits are included for each driver.  Following a victory lap, the top 3 finishers will receive medals from the podium.  Pizza and soft drinks are included for the drivers. 

Participation is limited to the first 18 people who sign up.

4L. How many years have you served on the IIDA Indiana Board? SS.   Finishing up year 5. Served 2 as Environmental Director, 2 as VP of Advocacy, one as President-Elect.
  4L. What are your main responsibilities on the board and how long is your term as president? SS. Watching and learning from our almighty president. I serve as treasurer and issue payments as needed and and track income and payments to make sure we adhere to our budget. It's a one year gig. 

4L. How long have you been with MSKTD?   SS. Seven marvelous years. 

4L. What are three words to Describe IIDA? SS. Industrious. Motivating. Engaging. Connection. Fun. You meant five, right?

4L. What does IIDA mean to you or what is the greatest part about IIDA?  SS.  Ever since serving on that first IIDA event committee, I have had a serious case of volunteer fever. Whether it's ZeroLandfill, events for my community development corporation, neighborhood association, fair trade or city beautification efforts, I've enjoyed being a part of something big, all while flexing my leadership skills, and it really started with that IIDA committee.

 IIDA unites the design community; it just makes me recognize how special this organization is. The more you put in to it, the more you get out of it, which is great, because everyone has different comfort levels and ambitions.  I could really go on forever with this answer...I'm proud to be an Interior Designer, and IIDA helps me and the entire industry blossom.
