NEW:  New NAIA Academic All-America Division in 2018-19allamerica
 
Beginning in fall 2018, CoSIDA is introducing a new division for the Google Cloud Academic All-America program. NAIA schools will now exclusively represent one division while the Canadian U Sports and two-year member schools will be moved to a separate division.

NEW:   Track & Field National Championshiptrack
Southern University at New Orleans won the 2018 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a team total of 64 points, only two points ahead of the second place team, University of British Columbia. On the men's side, Wiley College (Texas) captured their first track & field national title with 92 points, which was 30 points ahead of second place finisher Indiana Tech.


NEW:  Softball National Championship softball

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma defeated Columbia College (Mo.) with a score of 4-1 to clinch its first NAIA Softball World Series Championship. Science and Arts completed the event undefeated and eliminated Columbia in the first championship game.
NEW:  Baseball National Championship baseball
Southeastern University (Fla.) won its first-ever baseball national title, defeating Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) 6-3. Southeastern finished the tournament undefeated and is the first school from Florida to win an NAIA baseball championship in the event's 62-year history.

Please remind student-athletes to update their PlayNAIA account with their student email address. This will save time when importing student-athletes into the Academy during the registration process. 

NEW:   NACE Annual Convention in JulyNACE
Is your school interested in finding out more about collegiate esports? If so, join coaches from NACE varsity programs and esports industry leaders at the 2018 NACE National Convention, July 18-20 in Atlanta, Ga. The early bird registration fee of $200 increases to $250 on June 15.

NAIA Awards Deadline Approachingawards

Nominations must be submitted by June 15 to your conference office for the following awards: A.O. Duer Scholarship, Emil S. Liston Award, Dr. Leroy Walker Award, AD of the Year, Coach of Character, Charles Morris Administrator of the Year, SID of the Year, Wally Schwartz FAR of the Year. The conference will then submit the winner to the NAIA national office. Visit the National Awards Day webpage for complete list of awards, deadlines, and nomination forms.


Summer Showcase Events Scheduled showcase
The NAIA will host 20 Showcase events, beginning June 12 and running through July 17. Events will be held in Fort Worth, Texas; Orange County, Calif.; Lake Wales, Fla.; Kansas City, Mo.; Olathe, Kan.; Overland Park, Kan.; and Chicago, Ill.
