Bake Sale for PAWS
During the picnic, some of our Confirmation students will be hosting a bake sale, with proceeds to go to PAWS (for needy pets), with rice krispie treats, cookies, meringues and more. Please come and choose some yummy treats to eat there or take home.
The 2040 Committee Needs You!
Thanks to everyone that was able to join last Sunday's Faith and Practice led by Tom Kuhns and Phil Adams, members of the 2040 Legacy/Heritage Committee. The presentation highlighted Christ Church's core founding principles and various inflection points which built the strength and leadership throughout our history of rectors and individual parishioners. This positive and faith based action by many individuals for the benefit of our broader congregation and community during times of opportunity and challenge continue to live on in our congregation today.

To that point... The 2040 Committee Needs You!
The 2040 Committee is gathering information about other faith based communities (Episcopal or other) to better understand our unique strengths and ways other faith based organizations are adapting to our modern culture. We are looking at various elements including overall service opportunities, Christian education, bulletin layouts, worship, website layout, parking, lighting, and  social events just to name a few.

Many of our Christ Church families travel over the summer which offers a perfect opportunity to capture information!  Please look for a questionnaire/survey to share your observations as you travel and possibly visit other churches. Details to follow in our weekly email bulletin.

Thank you in advance for your help and assistance!  If you have any specific questions or experiences to share please contact either Molly Hufton or Peter Macey.
Summer Park Service
Starts Next Weekend June 17
During the summer months, we celebrate Holy Eucharist outside.  If you have not experienced one of these services, you are in for a real treat.  Starting Sunday, June 17 and running through September 2, the 9:30AM service will be at Maple Street Park.  Click HERE for a Park Service Primer that will ensure a great experience.
New! Playgroup on the Patio
Parents and caregivers, you and your little ones are invited to a weekly Christ Church playdate! Every Wednesday morning this summer, we will be meeting in the McClain Room and the adjoining patio from 9:30-11:00 for some fun playtime. We will have lots of toys, a simple snack, and coffee for the grown-ups!  Friends are welcome. Questions? Contact Melissa Durbin, or Patty Lea.

No need to RSVP, just stop in if you can!
Choir Section Leader to Retire on June 10
Bob Fox, the longtime professional bass section leader of our choir, will be retiring at the end of this season after sixteen years of service to Christ Church.

As a well-deserved thank-you for his service, Christ Church has begun collecting donations towards a purse to be given to Bob on Sunday, June 10. If you wish to join our choir in contributing, you may do so online here.   Donations by check can be delivered either to Cindy Lyman at the Parish Office or to Richard Clemmitt in the Music Office. Checks should be made out to "Christ Church" with "Bob Fox" written on the memo line. All donations will be tax-deductible.
