Ready to Rock?
The 2018 Explore New York and Libraries Rock! recreational reading lists and bookmarks for the Summer Reading Program are now available: https://bit.ly/2xur0S7
The reading lists are designed to help libraries promote summer reading as well as reading materials related to the fascinating story and history of New York State. The Explore New York lists and bookmarks are available for download and printing.

The recreational reading lists are librarian-selected titles that celebrate the history, culture, and diversity of New York State.  The lists have been designed by the New York State Library in partnership with the New York State Library Association Youth Services Section and Section of School Librarians.

The accompanying bookmarks are created each year by the New York State Library and designed by the New York State Museum for Summer Reading at New York Libraries. The bookmarks serve as companions to the four Explore New York reading lists and include the 2018 summer reading graphics for this year's slogan of Libraries Rock! The bookmarks are available for printing with titles already listed, as well as in template format so that each library may add their own selection of titles from the reading lists, or highlight titles from their own collections.

Summer Reading at New York Libraries is funded through the Federal Library Services and Technology Act, with funds awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services. The New York State Library is a program of the Office of Cultural Education in the New York State Education Department.
