United Way of Connecticut Announces the Addition of Four New Board Members
 

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (October 2, 2017) - United Way of Connecticut is excited to announce the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors.  United Way of Connecticut (UWC) seeks to help meet the needs of Connecticut and its residents by providing information, education and connection to services. UWC connects people to the knowledge and tools to succeed, with an emphasis on early childhood development and education, crisis intervention and emergency response, connecting people to services, and supporting and strengthening communities.  "Each new member brings knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly help further our mission," stated Richard Porth, President & CEO of United Way of Connecticut, "We are fortunate to have Tiffany Donelson, Tracy Immerso, Tracy Michaud and Peter Rosa join the United Way Connecticut board."

Meet United Way of Connecticut's new board members:

Tiffany Donelson serves as Vice President of Program at the Connecticut Health Foundation, with prior high level health care experience at Atena,  PricewaterhouseCoopers and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Ms. Donelson's brings expertise in project and team leadership to the board and has proven success in relationship building.  

Tracy  Immerso is presently the Director of Academic Budgets & Operations at Fairfield University, where she manages the divisional operating, capital, and restricted budgets to support the strategic direction and mission of the university. She brings over 30 years of experience in both an academic and corporate setting, with expertise in financial analysis, system configuration, and resource planning. "My enthusiasm for working at a Jesuit institution where we value "cura personalis" or "care for the whole person" translates easily to the kind of work that the United Way of Connecticut does to help Connecticut residents.  I look forward to sharing my expertise in finance and IT to further the good work of this organization."

Tracy Michaud has been a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 1998 and currently serves as the Business Lead, Global Leadership Development at LEGO Systems, Inc. Ms. Michaud has experience and expertise in employee relations and performance management and is a trusted Human Resources Business Partner and employee advocate with proven success in facilitating lean business strategies. "I am truly honored to become a member of the United Way of Connecticut Board of Directors. This role offers a great match to my desire to contribute to an organization doing meaningful work in support of Connecticut's children and families."

Peter Rosa served as Senior Program Officer at the Harford Foundation for Public Giving with proven success in consensus building. Prior to that, he served in a number of executive positions in higher education in Connecticut culminating in executive officer positions in the Connecticut State University system. "It's an honor to work with and support such a selfless organization that does so much for so many Connecticut residents."
