Hello Buddy Baseball Fans,

Congratulations to all of the Buddies and Players who graduated high school in May. All the best to you in the future.

I have been invited to be on the Tampa Bay Rays radio pre-game broadcast on Saturday June 9th to talk about the upcoming season. The Rays broadcast on 620 AM, WDAE. I am scheduled to be on around 2:45. Tune in if you can.

July 4th is just around the corner. We will have a float in the Temple Terrace July 4th parade, our 8th year in the parade! Let me know if you would like to be in the parade with us. More information below.

Fall registration will open in July. The Meet and Greet will be Saturday 9/22/2018 and Opening Day is Saturday 9/29/2017. Mark your calendars!

4th of July Parade

July 4th Parade

Come on out to Temple Terrace to watch the July 4th parade. The parade starts at 10:00 am. If you want to be in the parade, email me on the link below. Evening festivities are from 6-9 p.m., located at 1st Fairway of Temple Terrace Golf Course, 200 Inverness Ave. (Between Belle Terre Ave. and Woodmont Ave.) There will be food vendors and music. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

Player Spotlight - Elias Restrepo

Elias Restrepo

Elias will turn 13 this month. He attends Walker Middle Magnet School. His favorite food is Chinese and he likes bacon on his pizza. If Elias had a $1000, he would buy Tampa Bay Buccaneers tickets. His favorite thing about the summer is going to the beach. When he grows up he wants to a movie star.

Buddy Spotlight - Benny Vaughan

Benny Vaughan

Benny has been a long time buddy and he just graduated from Sunlake High School and will be attending Hillsborough Community College in the fall. Benny was in the debate club in High School and is a mean chess player. His favorite subject in school was history and his favorite food is lasagna.

Rookie Spotlight - Ava Ferry

Ava Ferry

This was Ava's first season in the league. She will be 11 years old in July and will be in the sixth grade at St. Stephen Catholic school this fall. Ava likes to sing and has a has a dog named Karter. Her favorite musical artist is Sean Mendez. Her favorite restaurant is Bob Evans and if she were famous it would be for her terrible dancing skills.

Coach Spotlight - Jeff Walter

Jeff Walter

Jeff has been coaching Buddy Baseball since the Spring of 2011. He started playing baseball at age five and played through high school. Jeff wanted to keep his passion for the game and figured what better way than to coach. Jeff has four younger brothers and was born and raised in Orlando. He moved to Tampa to attend college. Jeff graduated from both Hillsborough Community College and USF where he majored in business management and information systems. He is the General Manager of Jeffrey Allen Inc. where they specialize in commercial golf and utility vehicles. Jeff recently purchased his first house in Lutz in April. He enjoys cooking, especially grilling by the pool. Jeff is an avid cyclist and would like to complete a triathlon in the future. His girlfriend's name is Lindsey and he has golden doodle named Brody.
