Robert Lee Vallen 1957 - 2018  

Robert Lee Vallen, 61, of Medina, passed away April 14, 2018.  He was born on January 11, 1957, in Wadsworth to Mary Kay (Snyder) Walker and the late George Vallen.

Robert worked as a paramedic for University Hospitals in Cleveland.   He also spent many years volunteering on the Sharon and Granger Fire Departments.  He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. 
Robert was one of the kindest, gentlest, giving people around.   His resourcefulness and ingenuity allowed him to help out anyone in need, often at the drop of a hat.   He loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Laura Ann (Metzger) Vallen; children Shane Vallen, Justin (Crissa) Vallen, and Ellie (Matt) Brightbill; grandchildren Kai and Hunter Vallen;  mother Mary Kay Walker (Tim Gee);  and brothers Bill (Andrea) Vallen and Jim (Harriet) Vallen.

A memorial service was held 11:00 am, Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Granger United Methodist Church, 1235 Granger Rd, Medina, OH 44256.    Pastor Bruce Hartley officiated.
