AB 5 Lawsuit Update
Members -
Yesterday, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order
denying
the International Brotherhood of Teamsters' motion to stay the preliminary injunction issued by the District Court which prevents the State from enforcing AB 5 against motor carriers.
In practical terms, this means the CTA's win at the District court will remain in place for the duration of the proceedings at the Ninth Circuit.
The State and the Teamsters have filed opening briefs and CTA currently has until May 6th to file its reply brief. We will provide further updates as they become available.
