Academic Information

UConn is providing flexibility for students and its schools and colleges at the Storrs and regional campuses regarding taking spring 2020 undergraduate courses on a pass/fail basis. Students may now elect pass/fail grading or drop a course at any time by the last day of classes (May 1), but should consult with their advisors first.

In light of current uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, all courses scheduled for UConn’s May session (May 11-29) will be conducted entirely online . Decisions about the status of the first and second summer sessions will be made and communicated in coming weeks. Questions may be directed to: summersession@uconn.edu.
Fall 2020 Education Abroad Students

Students who are participating in a Fall 2020 Education Abroad program are now completing the required Pre-Departure Orientaion online through HuskyCT . During the orientation, students will learn about the credits & grades processes and policies, health & safety, and more!

We encourage all students who have specific questions to contact us at abroad@uconn.edu .
New Kindness Initiative Launched

Student Affairs has launched the new uKindness initiative to gather resources for students – including those still in our residence halls - to keep them connected with the UConn community during the pandemic. It includes the Husky Links program , in which staff and faculty can volunteer to check in weekly with specific students to talk about how they’re doing, get to know each other, and ensure the students feel connected to the University.
Updates on Refunds

The Registrar’s Office has posted updated information about pro-rated credits and/or partial refunds for housing, dining, parking permit, and Education Abroad payments. Note that if a student has a current balance due, the credit will be applied to that balance first, with the remaining credit applied to the next semester’s fee bill. The updates also include details about signing up for direct deposit and donating to the Students First Fund, and are part of a wide range of questions answered on the Registrar’s Office site.
