Meet Karin Beitel, New TBC Director of Lifelong Learning
We are excited to share some wonderful news with you about TBC's search for a new Director of Lifelong Learning. Karin Beitel, who has been leading the school for months as our interim educator, has now been selected to be our Director of Lifelong Learning on an ongoing basis.
Karin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Rochester and a Masters Degree from Hebrew Union College. Karin has decades of experience as a Director in Reform Jewish Education, most recently as the Director of Education at Temple Israel of Westport. She has a passion for Judaism and has developed a strong commitment to TBC in the months that she has been with us. Karin has earned the respect of our rabbi, lay leaders, teachers, parents and students and has an outstanding reputation in the greater Jewish community of Fairfield County and beyond.
Please join us in welcoming Karin in her new role as the Director of Lifelong Learning and as a member of our TBC Community.

Interim Cantor Dana Anesi
Join us for Shabbat Services with our interim cantor, Dana Anesi. We are delighted to have Cantor Anesi join us. She is currently the Director of Fieldwork at Hebrew Union College in NY and for many years, served as the cantor at a Reform synagogue in Chappaqua, NY. Cantor Anesi will be with us for all of our remaining Spring B'nai Mitzvahs. Here are all of the dates Cantor Anesi will be at TBC for Shabbat on June 8, June 15.

New Jewish Senior Services Hospice Volunteer Training Dates
Chaifetz Family Hospice will be holding a two-day Hospice Training for people interested in giving their time and compassion to JSS clients in Fairfield County. Training will be held at Jewish Senior Services, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT on Sunday, June 3, from 9 am-5:00 pm, Wednesday, June 6, from 4:30-8:30, and Thursday, June 7, from 4:30-8:30. Training materials and meals will be provided free of charge. Disrupt Aging in your Community - Wednesday, June 6, 7:00 pm
The Schoke Jewish Family Service, the Stamford JCC, and AARP Connecticut are partnering to present a 90-minute program entitled, Disrupt Aging in your Community, which is designed to bridge the gap between generations. An interactive session focuses on aging from an intergenerational perspective, offering thought-provoking discussion and activities. Stop & Shop, Caraluzzi's, and Stew Leonard's have agreed to sell the Temple gift cards at a discount of 5-10%. Our congregants purchase the gift cards (they look just like credit cards) from the Temple at face value and use them as cash when shopping at the participating supermarkets. They may be purchased in increments of $100. Please email

Share Your Simcha - Sponsor a Preneg, Oneg or Flowers!
A wonderful way of celebrating special simchas, such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, the birth of a child or grandchild, is sharing your nachas with the entire congregation by sponsoring the Shabbat oneg, preneg or flowers for the Friday of your special week. No special occasion? You can still sponsor a Shabbat! We will arrange for the flowers, food, and set-up, you just make a minimum donation of $125 for an oneg, $180 for a Preneg or $250 for the flowers.
