It's Pesach at Beth Jacob! Here are all your Passover resources, from food, to ritual elements of the seder, to online sedarim with your shul community, in one email! Read more below, and follow the links to sign up for a variety of ways of participating in this year's extraordinary Passover!

Wednesday Evening, April 8

Beth Jacob is hosting two Online Community Sedarim on the first night! One will begin a bit earlier and be more geared toward families with children, the other will be a traditional seder. 
  • FAMILY SEDER: 6:15 pm (led by Eric Silverman
  • TRADITIONAL SEDER: 7:00 pm (led by Rabbi Tamar Magill-Grimm) 
Everyone is welcome! Please sign up to let us know that you plan to attend. Guests are invited to participate-please indicate on the form if you would be able to help lead a section of the seder! To join the Zoom call, go to Beth-Jacob.org/FirstSeder on Wednesday evening, and click on your seder choice from there.

Sell your Chametz

  Click here  to sell your Chametz by 10 am on Wednesday, April 8! Also, feel free to share the link (or this e-mail) with anyone who may want to sell their Chametz, No matter where they live or if they're a Beth Jacob Member!
Second Seder
Thursday Evening, April 9

Please let us know by Thursday if you would like to be a guest at an online seder, or if you would like to host one.   We will match guests and hosts and give you information by next Monday.

Sign up deadline  Wednesday , April 1
Pick up on Sunday, April 5

All the basics for your seder plate, including a haggadah, charoset, horseradish, bitter herb, parsley, a hard-cooked egg and beet for you to roast, and three sheets of matzah. We're even putting in an adorable paper seder plate for you to use!  Sign up by 5:00 pm Wednesday, April 1-no fooling!

Sunday, April 5, 10 am - Noon

Wine and Chocolate orders, Seder kits, and extra Passover food will be available for pick up in the Beth Jacob parking lot this Sunday Morning. Please remain in your car and drive up to receive your orders. Donated food will be available on a first come, first served basis, and are limited to one of each item per family. 

FOOD DONATIONS: If you have extra Passover food, please help us re-home it to other families who need it! Please bring donations to Beth Jacob by this Friday at 3:00. It should be unopened and non-perishable. Thank you for sharing your bounty!'
Pesach Shopping
 
Shop at Cooper's for your Pesach foods! Great selection, and Beth Jacob Congregation will receive 5% of your purchases! Save all your Cooper's receipts for purchases made for Pesach this year ; we'll let you know when to bring your receipts to the Beth Jacob office!
Wednesday, April 8 after Morning Minyan

The Fast of the Firstborn , commemorating the salvation of the Israelite firstborn during the Plague of the Firstborn, is usually on the day before Passover. Traditionally, the fast is broken at a siyyum celebration, typically made at the conclusion of the morning services. Join us on Wednesday, April 8; morning minyan is at 7:15 at Beth-Jacob.org/Live, The Siyyum (and your last bit of chametz!) will follow.
