Why does the Census matter for people with disabilities?
People with disabilities are considered a hard-to-count population. An accurate count of all Americans is critical, because Census data help direct more than $800 billion a year in federal funding, including for key programs that support and protect the rights of people with disabilities.

The US 2020 Census is a count of all people living in the United States as of April 1, 2020. The census is done every 10 years. The information helps the local, state and federal governments make decisions about where emergency services, hospitals & health care centers, schools and transportation services are needed. The census helps decide how many representatives communities have in local, state & federal government.

The deadline to complete the Census is August 14
