By now, you have probably heard that the schools in Santa Clarita are closed thru mid-April. In an effort to keep kids safe, the administrators made a difficult but necessary decision and we appreciate their due diligence. ... Having said that, the abrupt closure has limited our ability to connect with our clients to provide them with support services or communicate what our plan potentially could be for continuity of care.

We will be working hard to contact each student, via information they submitted on their intake form or using their district provided emails. We are committed to providing students (and their families) with as much support as possible - while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. If you are a student or a parent of a student, and feel comfortable contacting us directly, please do.

For some of our clients, this interruption could create anxiety, depression, anger, etc ... that is 100% to be expected. The therapeutic process for most of our clients provides tremendous safety and comfort; lots of great progress is happening! But we also want to acknowledge the disruption of services can be destabilizing and we want to ensure as smooth of a transition as possible, within our limited capacity to connect in person.

If you need help or know someone who does, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We will make our resource guide available to all who wish to use it, as well as tips and tools for healthy coping, and self-care.

Please follow us on social media for updates as well, using the links below.

Thank you for your patience and support.

All Best,
Kim, Duperly, the Youth Project staff and Board of Directors.
