We’re delighted to share some exciting theatre news.
On Monday, April 27 at 7pm, we’re launching our social distancing edition of Drama(in the)works, The Dramaworkshop series featuring weekly readings of new plays.
We introduced the series in January, and it proved to be so popular that the demand for tickets often exceeded our supply. The program was originally scheduled to continue through mid-May, and we’re excited that it will be resuming online through June 22.
The readings are free of charge, but you must make a reservation because even online, there is a limit to the number of people we can accommodate.
Those of you who attended a reading at the theatre are aware that the talkback at the conclusion of the play is a vital part of the evening. You will again have the chance to have your voice heard, as you will be able to type your comments and questions through a live “chat” following the reading.
Check your inbox in the coming days for an email with instructions on how to sign up and how to access the event.
First up, on April 27, is
The Surest Poison
by Kristin Idaszak. The cast, coming to you from somewhere in their homes, includes Suzanne Ankrum Harris, Michael McKenzie, Mallory Newbrough, Karen Stephens, and Seth Trucks. The reading is directed by Bruce Linser, manager of The Dramaworkshop, who also serves as the narrator.
