This year's Annual Meeting will focus on the marketing and exportation of transferware from Great Britain to North America. Our Keynote Speaker Dr. Neil Ewins, Senior Lecturer in Design History, University of Sunderland, UK, and author of Supplying the Present Wants of Our Yankee Cousins: Staffordshire Ceramics and the American Market 1775-1880, will be joined by an impressive line-up of experts presenting a wide variety of topics from maritime decoration on printed wares to Chinese export porcelain and its influence on British transferware. A series of classical figure patterns made by G.L.Ashworth & Bros. of Hanley. Most of the figures are derived from Flaxman's illustrations to Homer's Iliad, hence the title adopted here.

 Victorian Ointment Pots
Paul Barker has been collecting Victorian bottles and pots for many years. He started with the relatively common Thomas Holloway pots, the Clarke's pots and the Poor Man's Friend pots from Dr. Roberts. Following his visits to specialist regional bottle fairs, he was able to find a few of the more scarcer pots. He has been hunting high and low for new pots to add to his collection.

Blue and White Ceramics: An Enduring Global Obsession: Krannert Art Museum, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Champaign, Illinois: Through August 30, 2018
The exhibition centers on Chinese blue and white porcelain collected and emulated around the world. Potters around the world attempted to mimic the aesthetic qualities of blue and white porcelain, making faience (Delftware) and other ceramics. The exhibition will include American, Chinese, Dutch, English, German, Swedish, and Turkish ceramics from the Ming Dynasty to the present day.

- Dealers must be TCC members, limited to once/year maximum.
- Requests will be processed in the order received, and there is no guarantee as to when your ad will be posted.

The Transferware Collectors Club (TCC) database, now with over 11,000 records, also has well over 750 source prints, the supposed inspiration to the potter of the scene or depiction on his ceramic creation. The source print is sometimes a real life scene and sometimes imaginary. Many of the American category prints are found by searching references such as Ellouise Baker Larsen's American Historical Views on Staffordshire China, but sometimes the editor must search for the source print by other methods.

Scottish Pottery Society
The Scottish Pottery Society (SPS) was formed in 1972 to encourage research into the history and products of the Scottish pottery industry. The industry lasted for about two hundred years from 1748. The Society is organized as separate branches with an overall central Council. At present there are two branches which meet in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Each branch has monthly meetings from September to May. These take the form of lectures, discussions and displays of pottery. Visit the site.
Dudson Museum
The Dudson Museum is uniquely housed in an original Grade ll listed bottle kiln (oven) in the heart of the Potteries. The bottle kiln is home to the Dudson ceramic collection and traces the company's production from 1800 to the present day.
