Never Too Young to Serve is THIS Sunday!
A family service opportunity!

We will be gathering in the Gym this Sunday, June 3 after the 10 a.m. Mass to assemble summer activity bags for children in crisis at the Thorpe Family Residence in the Bronx.  Each family is asked to sign up to attend and bring specific items which are noted at

We will gather for coffee, juice and donuts and our young disciples will make book marks for the bags, bag the summer items and pray for the Thorpe families.

An Important talk on Teens, Sexuality, and Love
THIS Sunday right after the 5pm Teen Mass THIS Sunday, June 3.  This is for parents of children of ALL ages AND teens from rising high school freshmen to college aged young adults.  Come hear Colin Nykaza, Director of Young Adult Outreach for the Archdiocese of New York, present "Desire, Purpose, Destiny: Embracing the Ache in Our Hearts," a talk on Sexual Morality, Theology of the Body, and dealing with the ache for love that our teens experience. A light supper will be served.

We urge you to come with your teen or young adult -- or come listen for yourself and walk away with talking points you can share at home as a family.  This is another important topic in our world today and one that we feel strongly about sharing from our faith perspective with parents and teens.

We hope that you will look at this opportunity to come hear how our faith gives us a very positive approach to the capacity of expressing love, that love in which the person becomes a gift - and by means of this gift - fulfills the meaning of our being and existence.

June 1, 2018

Dear Parents,

Today our Kindergarten Graduating Class of 2018 shined in their caps and gowns as they stepped up to first grade! In addition to the traditional tree photo and celebration on the Stapleton patio, they performed  Three Nanny Goats Gruff  on stage and accepted their di plomas!

We are so proud of our Cross Country Team who won first place championship! The Upper School students (Grades 5-8) attended the all season Cross Country Meet of Champions at Sherwood Island. Eighth graders Riley Stenger took 3rd place and Kathleen Naughton placed 4th among the eighth grade girls. Charlotte McGinness was super excited to take 1st place among the 5th grade girls and 1st place in the Championship race. Fifth grader Kevin Cope proudly took 2nd place among the 5th grade boys and 1st place in the overall Championship
race, Caera Cope was all smiles when receiving 4th place among the 5th grade girls.

Last Friday we had our school wide Field Day at the SONO Field House. Teams competed in relay races, sack races, and pizza box stack races, a shoe fling, capture the flag, and the traditional tug of war.

We thank you for donating books to our annual Book Grab! We hope you were also able to choose a book for your own summer reading.

God Bless You!
