Coronavirus Update at Temple Tikvah

Dear Temple Tikvah Families,

As you know, the situation with the Coronavirus pandemic continues to develop. In light of news we have learned today, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all Temple-sponsored group activities and programs for the next two weeks, i.e. between now and March 26. This includes Shabbat services and congregational dinners, Religious School, Tuesday Tutoring and all classes and special events.  The K/1 grade service is postponed until May 8th.

To be clear, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 here at Temple; we are taking this precautionary measure in the interests of your safety and health. While activities are canceled, our staff will continue to disinfect and clean the building, in keeping with NYS Department of Health guidelines. The building, including the office, will remain open and available to you.

We plan to take advantage of technology to continue to keep our community connected. We will livestream Shabbat services, which begin at 7:30pm this week and 8pm next week. We are also exploring the possibility of using Zoom (video teleconferencing) for other activities where we can. We hope to resume in-person services on Friday, March 27 th

As always, our clergy and leadership are available for questions, concerns, and day-to-day needs. Please feel free to contact any one of us at the numbers below. Please know that your safety and health are our priority.

B’vracha (with blessings),
