Dear St. George Families,
When "Thank You!" just isn't enough! Entering the last day of school, I am at a bit of a loss to express thanks and appreciation from teachers, staff, and myself, to all of you for all you do. We have enjoyed a terrific school year with many accomplishments, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. It has been very rewarding to see how much your children have grown spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally. We could not accomplish all we do without YOU!
Last week we promoted 115 outstanding eighth graders and we want to offer a special word of thanks to those parents who are also "being promoted" from St. George Catholic School. Many are former committee members, fair workers, Home & School leaders, coaches and volunteers. They have been generous stewards selflessly donating their time, talent, and treasure to support our parish and school.
We have an outstanding faculty and support staff! Nothing is more important in your child's education than the person in the classroom with them. We have excellent teachers not only concerned with your child's academic growth but also their spiritual development. They are truly people who make a difference in the life of your child.
We are blessed each day with 1094 terrific young people who enter our doors to be educated. They come to school wanting to learn, they know why they are here, and they use their God-given gifts to learn, to serve, and to make a difference. We love our students!
"Thank you" cannot adequately express appreciation to all who make St. George such a great place. But other words won't carry the same meaning of heartfelt appreciation. Thank you for a great school year! May God continue to bless your family.

2018 Summer Reading Program
Once again, St. George will require students to participate in summer reading. The benefits of reading during the summer months are plentiful, but most importantly it helps students to foster a love of reading and advances literacy and academic performance at the beginning of the school year.
Summer is the perfect time for students to catch up on a little reading and even get a step ahead in Accelerated Reader for the first 9 weeks. Below, please find the link to the list of books with a corresponding grade level. Students are asked to read the book assigned for the grade level they will be entering in 2018.
