CVB Hires
Director of Sales
The Santa Clara Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) dba Visit Santa Clara has hired Rachelle Castaneda Mata as its new Director of Sales. Rachelle previously worked for the CVB as the National Sales Manager and prior to that for ARAMARK.
Most recently, she was Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hilton Hotel in Cupertino across from the new Apple Complex. Rachelle will be managing the CVB sales team in its efforts to bring conventions and tradeshows to the City of Santa Clara.
She is a Business Administration Marketing graduate from San Jose State University and has well rounded experience working in the hospitality industry, having worked for convention center catering, CVB, and hotels. To contact Rachelle at Visit Santa Clara, email rachelle.castaneda@santaclara.org.
CVB Attends College Football Playoff National Championship
Kick-Off Event
Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) staff, as it did with WrestleMania 31 and Super Bowl 50, is assisting Levi's Stadium with planning details for the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship game.
As such, a half dozen CVB team members attended the recent College Football Playoff Host Committee Kick-Off Event at Levi's Stadium. The event included presentations from representatives from college football, ESPN, and the 49ers.
