A Message From Mr. Stoops

Congratulations to our graduating class of 2018! This evening, 59 students will graduate from Guardian Angels School and begin new adventures and journeys. This class has brought so much joy and excitement to our school over the years and will be deeply missed by all. Please join me in congratulating them, and asking for God's guidance over them as they continue to grow and develop. Thank you to our graduates for all you have given our school and parish.

Yesterday, we celebrated the career of Rosemary Kapp who will be retiring at the conclusion of the school year. She has served our school and community in numerous roles for 26 years and will be greatly missed. Although she will no longer be teaching at Guardian Angels, her passion, dedication, love for learning, and commitment to our school and parish will be felt for years to come.

Finally, congratulations to our head servers for the 2018-2019 school year:
Regan Montanus, Bella Mastruserio, Kelly Carville, Adam Carville, Jay Dietz, and  Nick Bruns. May God bless them as they take on this honored role in our community.

God Bless,
Corey

Bid-N-Buy News

Pre-Register for the Online Auction
AngelsFest is holding the Bid-N-Buy online. It is a great way to include people who may not be able to attend the event. This electronic bidding allows you to view items online before the festival begins. You can then bid from your computer or cell phone at the event, from home, or even while on vacation. This platform allows you to set customized notifications which tell you that you've been outbid or you can set a limit and the system will automatically keep bidding for you up to that point.
Go online now to pre-register your mobile phone, tablet, or computer so you are ready to bid at the festival. After you register, you will then receive two texts; one with confirmation you are registered, one with your PIN and a link to your
personalized auction page. You need your PIN to view your site. Hold on to this PIN until after the festival weekend. If you have any questions, contact  Liz McElroy

Parish Parties
We are looking for some new faces to host parties for the parish. Examples of parties we've thrown in the past include a Card Party, Monster Mash, Ladies Night Out, 80's Party, Scavenger Hunt, and much more.
Want to throw a party? Grab a group of friends/couples and come up with a theme on your own (can be very simple/casual) and fill out the attached form and send it in to the office marked ATTN BNB PARTIES.
If you have questions or  if you want to be part of a hosting committee but don't want to come up with the theme just email  Margaret Dunn.

Thank You to our BNB Sponsors

Volunteers Needed
AngelsFest is our parish's largest social function of the year. AngelsFest is also our largest fundraiser, providing essential income for our parish budget. For the event to be successful, we need hundreds of volunteers. Volunteer needs vary in regards to interest/experience, time of commitment, and work provided.
Click here to work in one of our adults booths; these include adult games, a couple food booths, split the pot and the jewelry booth. Setup and cleanup shifts are also  listed here.
If you are interested in working in a Children's Game Booth, click here. Children over 14 are welcome to work a game (excluding the ticket booth) without adult supervision. The children's games committee is also asking for donations of blow pops, tootsie roll pops, rings pops, fruit snacks, and french chews. The items can be donated in the school or rectory office.
Thank you for doing your part to make AngelsFest a success!
Donations Needed for Jewelry Booth
The Youth Ministry members are collecting jewelry to be sold at the annual Guardian Angels parish festival jewelry booth. If you have any pieces (earrings, necklaces, ANYTHING!) that are just taking up space in your jewelry box, please consider sending them in to be deposited in the baskets in the church, school/rectory offices, or outside the youth office. We also accept jewelry boxes, displays, etc. Thank you for helping us support the work of our parish!

The calendar shows school events, parish events, and much more.  Just a reminder, events posted on the school website, www.gaschool.org , only include those open to the public or new families who may not have activated a Rediker account yet. All other event information is posted in Rediker, which is password protected.
Find GA News On Facebook
This time of year gets incredibly busy and Facebook is a great way to stay-up-to-date on everything happening in our school and parish. Guardian Angels uses our Facebook page to keep families informed about upcoming events, news, and other information regarding our school and parish.
Facebook has changed how you see information from the pages you follow. These changes mean you will see fewer posts from Pages you like, including Guardian Angels. That means you have to do more than just Like our page to see our updates in the future. If you want to make sure you continue to see information posted through the Guardian Angels page, please make sure you go to our page, click Following (just under the cover photo), and then choose See First. This way anything we share will still be seen in your newsfeed.
Support GA While You Shop On Amazon
You can now support Guardian Angels Parish when you shop at Amazon.com! GA is a newly registered participant in the AmazonSmile Program. You can sign-up to have a portion of your purchase sales come back to Guardian Angels. When you make purchases through the AmazonSmile page, and have GA selected as your beneficiary, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products back to GA. You have to be shopping from smile.amazon.com page of the site for us to receive the benefit.
Kroger Community Rewards
Have you signed up for Kroger Community Rewards and designated GA as your beneficiary? The more families who register, the more money our school receives through the program.
Kroger Community Rewards offers a great way for you to support our school's technology fund...and you don't have to spend a penny. Register your rewards card online and select Guardian Angels as your beneficiary. You can search for GA or use our NPO number, 80200. The amount Guardian Angels receives depends on the points our supporters rack up while grocery shopping. Enrolling does NOT impact the points you use to redeem for discounts at the pump.
Have You Checked Out Formed.org
Guardian Angels invites you to explore all of the resources offered through  Formed.org  by registering with the parish code 4EVXRB.
