Community College "Fab Lab" Impresses State Officials
Last week, Northampton Community College showed off its "Fab Lab" to Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin and other officials. The school's "Micro-credentials in Manufacturing" program prepares students for entry-level jobs in the manufacturing industry.
Meet Jacob: Student Can "Fix Anything with Four Wheels"
Jacob Maguire, automotive technology student at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, said, “HACC's automotive program is the same, if not better, than most dedicated technical schools out there.” In fact, the program is accredited in eight categories of automotive repair by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation.
Students Celebrate with Martha Washington's Original Cake Recipe
Culinary Arts students at Montgomery County Community College bake a cake and hundreds of cupcakes every year on Presidents’ Day for the celebration of President Washington’s birthday at Valley Forge National Historical Park. Culinary students even use Martha Washington’s traditional recipe for the cake!
