Coming in March: Our cover story features piano man Gene Lichnovsky. From the family orchestra to Gil Baca Orchestra, to solo performances, Gene has been playing polkas, waltzes, and marches for more than 70 years. Gary McKee takes a look at Central Texas dance halls that were around during the Roaring 20s. Justin Everett reviews vintage recordings of the Dancehall Boys (now called the Czech Melody Masters); visits with DJ Donnie Howard; and features Scott Hodde: A Third Generation Musical Hodde. Of course, we have your March calendar of dances, festivals, and live music events. And the much-anticipated Spring and Summer Fest Guide. Yes, it's the first listing of church picnics, plus German fests, sausage fests, country music fests, maifests, and polka fests coming in the next few months. WEEKLY LAUGH
I was in my back yard trying to launch a kite.  I threw the kite up in the air, the wind would catch it for a few  seconds, then it would come crashing back down to earth.  I tried this a few more times with no success.

All the while, my wife  Heidi  is watching from the kitchen window, m uttering to herself how men need to be told how to do everything.  She opens the window and yelled to me, "You need some tail."

I turned with a confused look on my face and yelled back, " Make up your mind. Last night, you told me to go fly a kite."
