Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Our office is aware there are still a large number of homes along Memorial in west Houston that are still without power. We were informed that CenterPoint Energy's  Memorial substation, along with a number of key circuits, are still inundated with water, affecting approximately 5,700 customers in and around the area. Because of the technology they have installed on their grid, they were able to re-route power to many in the area who are served by this substation. However, they are working to construct a mobile substation to aid in the restoration efforts for those still affected. While this will take up to a week to fully construct and activate, it will allow them to restore power sooner. The installation of the mobile substation is a top priority for CenterPoint and they are working diligently to improve the timeline. We will share additional information as it is provided to us.
